George Evans 77 of Strong, AR passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.  George D. Evans, also known as "Huck a Buck," was born February 22, 1938 in Strong, AR.  He was one of eleven children born to the Ethel Lee Evans and the late R. D. Evans.  He attended  Gardner High School in Strong, AR.  Earlier in life he was married to Berdine Carter, but no children were born to this union.  Mr. Evans worked in the woods as a laborer for many years until retirement.

After retirement he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching the traffic flow.

Mr. Evans leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Ethel Lee Evans; sister, Irene Nell Williams; brothers, James Evans, Tommy Lee Evans, and Daniel Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is gone , but will never be forgotten. "Yee Haw" as Mr. George Evans would say.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Strong, AR.  Visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
