Elizabeth Ann Childress was born January 19, 1971 in Crossett, AR to the late Charles Childress, Sr. and Mary Ann White. She was the youngest of five children born to her mother.
    Libby as she was affectionately called, passed away on Friday morning October 21 in the arms of her sister, Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; Mrs. Clara and Frank “Poppa Yellow” Curley, Jr. whom also nurtured her.    As a youth, Libby accepted Christ as he Savior, uniting with Fudge Baptist Church in Whites, AR. She later joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
    Ms. Childress received her public education in Crossett, AR and San Bernardino, CA. If she would have remained in Crossett, AR she would have graduated with the class of 1990. 
    Libby was a kind-hearted, yet outspoken person. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

One son: TaQuon Minniweather of Little Rock, AR; Three daughters: Alicia Childress of Crossett, AR, LaQaundria Childress and Shakira Childress both of Jonesboro, AR; a step-mother: Earnestine Abraham, Two sisters: Charlotte Childress and Earsie Abraham of Crossett, AR; Three brothers: Timothy Thompson of Richmond, CA, Vincent Thompson of Little Rock, AR and Charles Childress, Jr. of Crossett, AR; One aunt: Verna M. Childress of Monticello, AR, a god-sister: LaToya Gaston, god-mother: Linda Buffington, five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends  

. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Crossett, AR. Visitation will be from 11 to 7 at the chapel. Burial will follow in the Ryles Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
