Mr. Buford Taylor departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Crossett, Arkansas. Mr. Buford Taylor was born June 11, 1927, in Parkdale, Arkansas.  He was the fifth child of the Reverend Lloyd “Preacher” Taylor and Mrs. Edna Franklin Taylor.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Clemae; and two brothers, Charlie and Hiram Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was raised in Thebes, Arkansas.  During his youth, he was a member of The Church of God in Christ Church in Jerome, Arkansas under the pastorage of his father, Reverend Taylor.  As an adult, Brother Taylor made Crossett his home.  In 1996, he united with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and remained faithful until his health begin to fail.  He was employed at various jobs and enjoyed working with peoples.

He leaves to cherish his memories: One Daughter: Eunice Smith; Three grandchildren: Alfredo(Hazel)Smith,

Rontel(Shalain)Smith and Sidney Smith. Special Friends: Ulish and Rose Haynes. Five great-granchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Crossett, AR.

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
