Anthony Wallace Dawkins  was born to Sherman Dawkins and the late Shirley Sawyer Hendrix on January 17,1974 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. He was preceded in death by his grandparent: Thomas & Katherine Sawyer and Wallace & Lucille Dawkins; two uncles and one aunt.

He grew up in North Crossett and attended Hamburg Public Schools, graduating in 1992. Anthony joined the United States Marine Corps and was medically discharged a year later. He then attended UAPB in Pine Bluff and also UAM College of Technology Crossett. Anthony was a truck driver and worked at Georgia-Pacific Plywood.

Anthony loved to hunt and fish. He also truly loved his family.

On Saturday, March 18, 2017, God dispatched an angel to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, to usher his child home.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 from 11 until 7 at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.
